Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport
Located nine miles east of the city, the second largest airport in the United States and third busiest airport in the world provides access to more than 200 destinations worldwide, including 57 international connections.
Light Rail and Public Transportation
The City of Keller sits only 5 miles north of the Richland Hills Light Rail Station, providing access to the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) commuter rail service between Fort Worth and Dallas; Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), which offers public transportation access to 13 area cities across a 700-square-mile area; and the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T), which operates a large bus and vanpool system with plans for new commuter rail to run from downtown Fort Worth to Grapevine and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport by 2018.

Parks and Recreation
The City of Keller’s award-winning parks and recreation system features more than 300 acres of developed park land, 11 park sites and nearly 19 miles of hike and bike trails. The department also runs The Keller Pointe, a popular fitness and aquatics facility; keeps older residents having fun at the Keller Senior Activities Center; and organizes nearly 40 special community events annually.
Keller Public Library
Supporting life-long learning and fun through books, programs and media, the Keller Public Library is consistently rated one of the best public libraries in Texas. In addition to circulating more than a half-million books, audiobooks, DVDs, CDs and other media annually, library staff organizes a popular Summer Reading Club and more than 500 programs for readers of all ages and abilities.
Education
The Keller community is primarily served by the Keller Independent School District, which serves all or part of nine different cities in Northeast Tarrant County. The district features 39 campuses and is regularly honored for educational excellence, financial efficiency and transparency, and campus safety. Families preferring a private, faith-based educational experience have their choice of Messiah Lutheran Classical Academy and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School.
There are also 20 major universities located within a 60-mile radius of Keller, including Texas Christian University, The University of North Texas, The University of Texas at Arlington, The University of Texas at Dallas and Southern Methodist University.
Keller Police Department
Keller is one of the safest cities in the region, protected by the first Texas police agency to have received accreditation at both the state and national levels. With the smallest number of sworn officers per capita in the area accomplishing one of the lowest crime rates in the state, KPD’s headquarters also proudly house the Keller Regional Animal Adoption Center managed by the Humane Society of North Texas; the Keller Regional Jail; offices for Regional Animal Services; and the Northeast Tarrant Communications Center, a regional 911 dispatch center known as NETCOM.
Keller Fire Department
The award-winning Keller Fire Department focuses efforts on fire prevention and education, all the while training to maintain their status as one of the most skilled fire and rescue departments in the state. Every Keller firefighter is also cross-trained as a paramedic, and the department has achieved the highest licensing possible from the Texas Department of State Health Services, qualifying KFD ambulances as Mobile Intensive Care Units.
